Police Beat Officer - Thanet Villages

As of February 2026 the appointed Ward Officer for Thanet Villages is PC Owen Crush.

I’m pleased to introduce myself as your new Ward Officer, covering Thanet Villages and Cliffsend & Pegwell. Thanks to PC Howe’s hard work and comprehensive handover I’m sure I’ll be able to hit the ground running and can’t wait to get started!

Although new to these wards I’m not new to Kent Police, having served for six years now in a variety of roles around Thanet, most recently as the Broadstairs officer. I have been reviewing police systems and past community feedback to identify common issues experienced across my wards and will keep you updated with my plans to tackle these. I have a particular interest in roads policing and tackling vehicle-related crime, which I hope will come in useful for dealing with the various road traffic issues that feature heavily among residents’ reports.

My wards cover a large area but I will do my best to offer equal patrolling coverage to all the villages, so please do stop me for a chat. Alternatively, I’m always open to an email or you can submit information to me through My Community Voice (MCV). I will publish regular updates on MCV for those who don’t manage to see me out and about, and will continue to collate police reports to send to the respective parish councils. If I can’t make the parish council meetings I will do my best to send my apologies in advance with the police report!

Warm regards,

Owen
